How bout them Flyers...

So this week has been a huge week for the Flyers. Hopefully you all caught at least one of the games. If you did not, I'm going to have to catch you up. Well last week we had two games. The first was against the NY Rangers. Now as disapointing as it was, the Flyers certainly put up a good fight. We were winning for quite a bit, then out of nowhere the Rangers came back and scored 2 goals within a few minutes of each other. A loss is never fun, but it was not as we like to call it a "pathetic loss". Now enough about that game. Let's go to Friday's game against the extremely hated New Jersey Devils. Now if you are an avid hockey watcher you will know that this is one of the biggest rivalries in the NHL. We ABSOLUTELY DISPISE each other, hardcore. Seriously, I found out that my beloved former Flyer Dan Mcgillis is now on that team. Unfortunately my screen name had been dedicated to him, this needs to change asap. Anyway, so it started off as a tied game for quite some time. Then the Flyers stepped it up and dominated the Devils. Goals were being scored left and right, it was quite a beautiful site. We won with an overall score of 5-2. In one of my previous posts, I mentioned some of the new players and lines, including a guy by the name of Sim. Wow, if he is not an asset to this team I'm not sure what is. Another man by the name of Hanzous also had an awesome game against the Devils (and so did his hair). These players are definite keepers with a great amount of potential. I'll keep you updated with the upcoming games...ahhh it's great to have hockey back.

I miss Dan McGillis too! I was a huge fan of his as well and was really disappointed to see him in a Devils Sweater. After the disappointing loss on Wednesday I thought that the boys played an amazing game on Friday. They proved that they can come from behind with Brodeur in the net...not an easy thing to do. The Devil’s are having more trouble playing their usual neutral zone trap because of the new rules. I loved that Stevenson was able to score an amazing goal on his old team. And seriously, Niittymaki played an amazing game…he and Esche are going to be great assets to the team this year. There is so much potential on this team right now, it makes me so happy!
It seems like the hockey season has been pretty exciting so far. I know that with some of the new policies that there was supposed to see more goals scored, which I think makes for good and exciting hockey. As much as I don't follow hockey I would like it for the Flyers to do well because its been way too long since a Philly team won a championship.
On the topic of Philly sports, are you ever going to be talking about any other sports. I mean the Phillies just barely missed the playoff a bit ago, the Sixers are playing pre-season games and the Eagles are struggling along. I think I would be cool to not just focus on hockey. Keep up the good blogging.

yo heather brown. i gotta talk about the game last night against the penguins. amazing game, saw alot in one game but it all came out to a win in the end. they won it 6-5, with gange notching another 2 goals and forsberg having a measly 4 assists. I'm seeing a much diffferent type of NHL game this year, and i dont think it would have fit the style of previous flyer squads. With the open ice, you see the forsberg line really getting there way. ITs awesome to watch!!!!!!!!!!!!
but whats the deal with our goalie troubles. who do youlike more heather, ninimakee or esche???
lay off the cheap wine heather

I have really no opionion on Hockey. I think it is one of the most boring sports. I've seen golf matches that give people more suspense. The puck goes back and forth for 60 minutes, and they take a huge break in between periods. Espn is better off putting the national spelling bee on. I wish the NHL was still on strike.
But in actual regards to your topic, Philly sucks at every sport. Especially the eagles. I think it has to do with your fans, you all are such scum bags, that god has cursed you. YOu brag about not winning a superbowl, and how your best basketball player is a thug. The only thing good about philly is pats cheesesteaks, the only place where you can be an asshole and still have people begging you for a 5 dollar cheesesteak.
